The square's main point of interest is the marvellous gold-plated wrought iron gates made by Jean Lamour that adorn the four cut-off corners and entrance to Rue Stanislas and Rue Sainte-Catherine. The northern gates surround the fountains of Neptune and Amphitrite, by Nime artist Guibal. Five raised and two-ground floor pavilions complete the startling harmony of this square which is crowned with a statue of Stanislas Leszczynski.
